Basically if you post ideas here we tend to look into the title and if we find any issues with them being detected we try to resolve them. We also try to look at all the big releases, generally while in beta - though often the beta working is not a good indicator that the final version will.

Generally most titles work for most people - some titles have ways in which they protect themselves that block us looking at the screen output or detecting them running - particularly those trying to prevent bots or unauthorised use. Often those protections go on fully just as they release!

As far as we can see Diablo III is working for most people but we have a few reports of it not being detected. This has been true of a few games recently and we haven't yet found out why. It is presumably a certain PC configuration.

We will certainly check out GW2 to see if there are issues with it being detected.

That would be fantastic. I would also love to see GW2 become a fully supported game for amBX aside from just basic detection, the game is artistically painted in a way that it would be incredibly beneficial to use amBX system, especially for the immersion factors.

Not to mention, what full support on each title would do for the marketing of amBX, along with some press releases of course.

Greetings!

Given that Guild Wars 2 has now received an official release date of August 28th (25th for the pre-purchase folks), what is the status on amBX basic detection?

As the previous poster mentioned, this game features immersion not yet seen in MMOs and the Cyborg Gaming Lights would be a brilliant (so to speak) addition.

I purchased 4 of these units (2 for the wife) for this game alone, if that communicates...

Forget it ,

They simply do not care. As they don't care about major games like Oblivion, Skyrim and Diablo 3.

Guild Wars 2 will be no different .

4 units ?? wow Man what a waste of money ... i purchased 3 first gen units in a clearance sale (lucky me) years ago only to discover disappointment after disappointment.... they work good with VLC player to watch movies and that's the only thing they can do .... im sorry for your lost ...

Giving any indication of whether the lights work or not with this title could be somewhat pointless as there have many games where the lights work with the Beta but not with the final release (Battlefield 3 is one such title).

I'm sorry you feel this way but have you used Aurora Synesthesia or glOW? I find that both of those programs improve the whole amBX experience and overall I find the amBX experience a good one but obviously would be better if everything I did on my PC could react with the lights etc in some way if I wanted.

Unfortunately some games cause issue and unless amBX is coded in from the start by games companies there is a chance they wont work... even when companies have added amBX on after it hasn't always worked for everyone. It's sad to say but amBX isn't given that much notice by some of the larger companies and although I would hope this would change I doubt it will (at least not any time soon).

yes i have used both , they are nicely done. The main reason i purchased the lights is not to have them react to the sound or to match the pretty colors of my desktop while im browsing ... it's to use them with the games i want to play and make them more immersive .... and AmBx fail to deliver ... in fact this is a EPIC fail. I just wonder how much time MadCatz will produce them before they are discontinued.

it' like having a 250 000$ supercar in my driveway and not being able to use it. I feel cheated

theres still no support for stalker? how come?

also would like to understand why there is support for c&c tiberium wars but not for its expansion. Ain't that just an expansion ? shouldn't work on both already?

This may have been suggested already but I think it would be cool if there was some ambx addon or mod for games that have spell casting, that will light the room up the color of the spell.

For example, Skyrim's spell casting looks good with ambx, but only if you're in first person. Personally I play in third person, don't ask why. But in third person you tend to lose that ambx effect, due to the spell taking up less room on the screen, being blocked by your torso, etc.

Another example and something I'd like to see much more than yet another Skyrim mod is support for spellcasters in WoW. Make the wall fire red when I'm casting firebolt, green if I'm on my druid casting wrath, etc.

Sorry if this is already a thing, I didn't really bother to look

I second this. Seeing as though Guild Wars 2 is days away from release, is there any news on this? I noticed the first Guild Wars is "half" supported, so surely Guild Wars 2 will be supported seeing as though the user base for this game will be far more than the first one.

Update:

I did read that one individual was able to get his lights working with Guild Wars 2 using Aurora Synesthesia (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2766). I haven't been able to test yet as I just found this out and I'm at work.

Will test and update you guys later.
