developers & publishers

for publishers

amBX empowers creativity, so you can deliver new consumer experiences - and open up new markets.

Developers can create and include whatever ambient effects they want, from subtle shifts in tone to in-your-face action.

Platform-neutral, amBX also places a low load on processors and memory: with amBX-enabled devices poised to join in and enhance the experience, your customers get more: far more.

easy to enable

With amBX, content creators can specify experiences without having any knowledge of the exact environment where they will be replayed - the only limits are their own imagination and creativity. Licensed developers and publishers will have all the support they need from the amBX team.

And it doesn’t matter what amBX-enabled devices people have in their room: amBX uses what’s available: lights, sound systems, active furniture and more. New devices automatically become part of the amBX mix. If a device is removed, its contribution transfers to other devices. If a new device is added, it automatically joins in to provide the best experience possible.

the opportunity

amBX is being introduced into the gaming market first, starting with PC platforms in 2006: market demand will drive new amBX-enabled titles plus retro-fitting of existing products, extending and enhancing the massive back catalogue of games already out there.

PC gamers want their best from their gaming – and amBX satisfies their appetite for new and more immersive experiences. Other gaming platforms and media will follow from 2007.

Hardware, peripheral and device manufacturers are creating amBX-enabled products now. These specially designed devices include video, audio, colour-controlled lighting, active furniture, fans and more. Highly responsive, they join in automatically: games scripted with amBX and peripherals connect with each other to work in perfect harmony.

We are working with partners to develop bundles and packages that represent appealing customer offers. Entry-level amBX-enabled kits including devices are expected to retail at a relatively low cost to consumers.
