amBX and ELP partner to deliver added value through emergency lighting visualisation

ELP are a long-established and respected OEM within the emergency lighting market. Founded in 1995, they have consistently designed, developed, and manufactured the highest quality emergency lighting products to suit every possible lighting application.

amBX design and develop software solutions for smart buildings and smart lighting. They aim to improve the smart building industry with open, interoperable solutions. They encourage partnerships and collaborations to provide key users with the very best smart, sustainable solutions for both new and old buildings – driving positive change globally.

Today, the two leading brands announce their partnership to the market.

ELP’s SurePath control system and amBX’s SmartCore Emergency product integrate to allow building managers to view faults, untested, overdue, completed, and scheduled activities, creating a more efficient method of completing this mandatory task.

SurePath+ is the name of the joint solution; it offers the OEM market an end-to-end emergency lighting solution that improves the audit process and saves time and cost. A smart emergency lighting system pays for itself. Money is saved as manual emergency testing carried out by site staff, or third-party contractors are no longer required.

Graham Dean, Sales Director, ELP commented “We chose amBX’s SmartCore Emergency product because of the user-friendly UI that allows us to present data in a usable way, but also because of the open architecture. Our customers are not keen on being tied into one manufacturer; the flexibility that amBX offers is not like anything else I have seen in the market; it is unique”.

Recent tragedies such as Grenfell have cast a renewed focus on emergency lighting and shown just how seriously it needs to be taken. It has caused large occupancy buildings to review their disaster prevention strategies and upgrade their approach.

amBX and ELP understand this and aim to improve the process, offering OEMs a quality, wireless solution that addresses the market needs.

amBX enables partners to add additional value to their solutions and help them overcome data visualisation and technical challenges through bespoke integration with their software platform, SmartCore.

Smart components can report on the status of the device, battery and lamp, and data can be provided in a user-friendly tool, which allows issues to be flagged and addressed ahead of them occurring. In addition, some tests can be automatically scheduled, saving time, money and improving overall safety. All results are available to view on the tool and via exported reports.

“We pride ourselves on empowering our partners, enabling them to overcome challenges and together developing a solution that truly meets the needs of the market. Emergency lighting is very relevant right now, it is a regulatory requirement, but it can also be very efficient, it doesn't have to cost a fortune and much of it can be automated”. – Andre Jutel, Business Development Manager, amBX added.
